Allie McGhee

Allie McGhee is a Detroit-based painter and abstractionist. When he started, he created expressionist and cubist figurative paintings. It was the influential sixties and seventies when artists mostly painted representations of human figures. McGhee later realized that abstraction was his true calling.
His work is included in collections at the Detroit Institute of Arts, St. Louis Museum of Art, and the Studio Museum in Harlem.
